Best “Smudge-Proof” Mascara

  “Is there a Mascara that is Smudge proof and Waterproof that still looks good?”

This is the question I have had since I started wearing makeup.

I was out shopping with my best friend who is an airline pilot.  She wanted to try this new mascara that is suppose to be smudge proof.  She travels mostly international flights and is in “dire need of good mascara”.

Here’s their claim;

“Blinc’s Kiss Me is the world’s first mascara innovation to form tiny water-resistant tubes around your lashes that stay on better than waterproof mascaras yet come off easily without the need for a makeup remover.”

Being the skeptic that I am, I thought “yea, right”, but was interested in “tubular mascara”.

 What in the world is that?  Not since the late 1980’s have I heard the word “tubular” used as a description other than describing a shape.  I had to give this a try.

I about choked at the price!  Twenty five dollars is a little pricey for mascara, but the salesgirl said we could make a return if we didn’t like it and remember “it’s tubular”.
So we started using it over a month ago.

 The application is different than any other mascara I have ever used.  You have 2 minutes to apply.  That is it!  Once it dries, it locks around individual eyelashes and “viola” your eyelashes are tubed!  It looks just like other mascara’s I have worn in my make-up wearing career.

 I couldn’t tell I had tubes of mascara on my eyelashes, that is until I removed it.

This is where it gets interesting.

The only thing that takes this mascara off is slightly warm water and light hand pressure, preferably with a washcloth.  It does Not smudge, it Is water proof, cry proof, sleep proof (not recommended for long periods of time by anyone), swim proof, humidity proof, sweat proof, contact lenses safe, and finally, Kiss Proof!!

The only time the “mascara tubes” are evident, is when they are on your washcloth after removal.  It kind of scared me the first time because they look just like your eyelashes!  I ran frantically to my mirror and was relieved to see that I had not lost my eyelashes. (whew–relief!)

 It works!

You can wear it for hours with out smudging or running and it gives both volume and length.  The price isn’t great, but you do save money by not having to use a chemical remover that can feel harsh to your sensitive skin.

Bride’s Magazine ranked Kiss Me as a top 10 mascara to wear for your wedding day because it will not come off - even if you rub and cry!
